Round Table: The State of Mathematics in Quebec

The Centre de recherches mathématiques is organizing a round table followed by a discussion to review different aspects of the development of mathematical sciences in Québec and beyond.

14:00 - 14:30, salle C-2081 Welcome and coffee 

14:30 - 16:00, salle C-3061 Round table session 

Three questions will be at the center of the round table:

  • mathematical sciences today
  • the impact of mathematical sciences on society, health sciences, and the economy
  • the state and funding of mathematics in Quebec

This round table will have as panelists:

  • Nathalie de Marcellis-Warin (Director, CIRANO)

The round table will be moderated by the CRM Director.
