Flexibility of singular Einstein metrics

Colloque par Rafe Mazzeo (Stanford University)

The study of canonical metrics on stratified spaces (at least in the non-complex setting) is relatively undeveloped. I will survey some of what is known, focusing mostly on questions of moduli rather than existence. There are already interesting results in low dimensions. In dimension three, this is closely related to an old conjecture by Stoker concerning convex polyhedra.
